From cover girl model to movie star, Natasha Tonya Henstridge got
her start in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Born in Springdale, Newfoundland,
Natasha moved to Fort McMurray when she was 5 years of age. She received
all of her formal schooling in Fort McMurray and began her modeling career
with John Casablanca Agency in Edmonton at age 13. After winning the
Agency's "Look of the Year" contest, her modeling career took
off culminating in a modeling contract with John Casablanca Studios in New
York City, New York. An exciting six year international modeling career
opened the door to her first movie audition for the movie picture for
which she is perhaps best known (so far), Species. After being selected
for a starring role in this movie production, she went on to demonstrate
her talents in the movies Adrenaline, Fear the Rush, Maximum Risk, Species
II, Stand Off, Dog Park, The Whole Nine Yards, Bounce, Better Way to Die,
and the Ghost of Mars. Destiny and determination have rocketed this young
Fort McMurray woman onto the world movie stage. And now Natasha stars in
her own Television show airing September 2002, "She Spies"
on NBC.
Natasha now resides in Los Angeles, California with her husband and two
children, but she has not forgotten her home community which she visits
regularly and where a number of members of her family continue to reside.
